I admit that sometimes I tend to harp on about how much I adore certain designers but they give me so much to love about them and Alber Elbaz seems to always capture my heart. He is always so humble, sometimes to even a degree of self deprecation as Tim Blanks describes on style.com.
"I'm not a cool designer, and Lanvin is not a cool brand,"
Thinking about this comment I am reminded that everyone struggles with maintaining confidence in themselves. We all have challenges whether it be a negative parent or an abrupt design teacher but we must ignore the frustration and continue being confident in ourselves. Do what you love and don't be afraid.
